In recent decades, with the growth and expansion of cities, historical contexts have gradually been forgotten and attention to these neighborhoods has decreased, and Sang-Siah neighborhood of Shiraz is no exception to this rule. Several orders, including the lack of attention to these context, have caused the growth of poverty, addiction, and crime in these neighborhoods and have created unsuitable environments that have gradually caused many residents to flee from these neighborhoods and go to other parts of the city. Over time, the neighborhood will lose both its quality and its residents, and the general purpose of this research is to identify and apply the important contextual factors in the design of a residential complex, which will encourage residents to return to Sang-Siah neighborhood in the historical context of Shiraz. The most important question of this research is that which of the context-oriented architectural criteria is more necessary in the historical context of the sang-siah of Shiraz to encourage the return of residents? Next, in the literature review section, we examined the definitions of words such as context, contextualism, context-oriented architecture, historical context, housing, residence, residential complex, etc. We arrived at contextualism, which were used for research and research. In the research method section, we obtained data from three methods, the first method was the use of Shannon's entropy method, which weighted and presented our criteria based on different sources, and the second method was a survey method, in this method, by designing a questionnaire for Experts and its validity and reliability assessment, and then the Friedman test method, we dealt with the most important design criteria from the experts' point of view, and in the third stage, the entire process was carried out exactly like the previous stage, with the difference that this time our statistical population is ordinary people and non-specialists of black stone. and finally, by comparing all these three results with each other, we arrived at the most important criteria for the design of a residential complex in Sang-Siah Shiraz in order to encourage the return of the residents, which were the top five criteria: green space-soul of the place-security-vehicle access and Pedestrians and a sense of belonging, which in the end tried to use all these things in the design process and provide solutions for better design to achieve a better result, which is the result of the table presented at the end.
