بررسي تاثير ناعدالتي زباني بر محققان فارسي زبان از سه منظر نارضايتي، اضطراب و دشواري

در اين تحقيق به بررسي تاثير ناعدالتي زباني بر محققان فارسي زبان پرداخته شده است. به منظور جمع آوري اطلاعات، داده‌هاي كمي از طريق پرسشنامه و داده هاي كيفي از طريق مصاحبه هاي نيمه ساختار يافته جمع آوري شده اند. در اين مطالعه كه به روش آميخته انجام شده است، ابتدا با استفاده از آمار توصيفي و استنباطي 100 پرسشنامه ي جمع آوري شده مورد بررسي قرار گرفته و سپس داده هاي كيفي با استفاده از روش تحليل مضمون مورد بررسي و تحليل قرار گرفته اند. نتايج اين تحقيق نشان مي دهد كه اغلب شركت كنندگان رضايت كمي از نوشتن مقالات و انتشار آن ها به زبان انگليسي داشتند و اين به دليل چالش هاي فراواني است كه بر سر راه آن ها قرار مي گيرد. همچنين اغلب شركت كنندگان به دليل ناعدالتي كه توسط ويراستاران و ارزيابي كنندگان مقالات مهم بر پروسه ي پذيرش مقالات اعمال مي شود اضطراب بالايي را تجربه مي كنند و اين سطح اضطراب حتي مانع از قدم برداشتن آن ها در راه نوشتن و نشر مقالات بيشتر مي شود. اين اضطراب از ناعدالتي ها و مسائل رشته اي، مشكلات شخصي و انتظاراتي كه ساير افراد از محققان دارند نشات مي گيرد. علاوه بر موارد ذكر شده، پيشينه‌ي تحصيلي، ميزان تجربه محققان و اينكه نشر اثر به زبان اول فرد انجام مي شود يا زبان خارجي او از عواملي هستند كه ميزان شركت يا عدم شركت محققان فارسي زبان را در انتشار و نوشتن مقالات تعيين مي كند.

A Survey of the Effects of Linguistic Injustice on Iranian EFL Scholars in terms of Dissatisfaction, Anxiety, and Difficulty

The current study explored the issue of linguistic injustice among Iranian non-native English speaker researchers. To this end, data were collected from 100 participants through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. In this mixed method research the quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics and the qualitative data were analyzed via thematic analysis. The results of the study showed that regarding the satisfaction with the publication process, most of the participants were less satisfied because there are many challenges that complicate this process. Moreover, the participants stated that they experience high anxiety in publishing because the geographies of publication and injustices imposed by journal editors and reviewers make the process highly challenging. Moreover, such anxiety was believed to negatively influence the participants’ tendencies to take a step toward conducting research. It was also found that non-native researchers face many challenges and difficulties in getting through the publication process. Such challenges stemmed from disciplinary injustices and issues, personal problems, and the external expectations that many researchers have to fulfill so that they can proceed in their careers. Across all of the above findings, educational background, research experience, and publishing in L1 or English were considered key factors that profoundly shaped the Iranian non-native researchers’ engagement in research, facing fewer or more challenges, and to gain more recognition in their respective fields of study.
