Throughout history, we have always witnessed the precious heritage that the past left for their future generations, including the cultural-historical heritage that exists today in the form of historical textures.
With the modernization of today's societies, the preservation and maintenance of these historical structures is no longer an important concern for the trustees, hence the witness of the transformation of these valuable historical works into places for the poor to live. Or the cities have become impoverished, which has led to the idea of reviving and reconstructing historical structures in cities with a rich historical background.
In this research, one of the elements in the ossification of the city, as well as the historical axes of Isfahan province, is discussed with the title of Araban Bazaar. This market has a social, cultural and touristic role in addition to the economic role of the market, as well as being adjacent to Isfahan Grand Mosque as a world heritage site. Also, the organic texture, which is an important and valuable element, has become important. On the other hand, the reconstruction of the Atiq square (Imam Ali) in the vicinity of the market has brought about opportunities to improve the situation in the market and the surrounding environment; Along with it, it can be a threat to the market and the surrounding environment and even the surrounding neighborhoods. The construction of commercial stands in Atiq Square and its conversion as a commercial hub increases the possibility of modern constructions without regard to the existing standards and criteria in historical contexts.
We decided to achieve goals such as protecting the values in the historical context of the region with an attitude to the previous identity, improving the place of the square and the market in the structure of the city and organizing the Araban market as one of the axes of the city's tourism. The research method used in this thesis is descriptive-analytical, and we collect information and analyze data using the SWAT method. Then, by reviewing the available literature, he examined the different dimensions of social and physical problems in the case sample and analyzed the data to find appropriate and practical solutions to improve the existing conditions in the four main dimensions of contextualism, including the physical dimension, historical dimension, social dimension.
