Over the past recent years, the use of scientific and technological capacities of universities and especially academic talents in resolving social and industrial issues has become a matter of great importance. The emerging economic, social, and cultural challenges show the necessity of using more scientific capacities. Considering the country's orientation towards the realization of modern Islamic civilization, the use of Islamic epistemological foundations, along with paying attention to international management paradigms, is of double importance.
Academic entrepreneurship, which means using the capacities of the university and researchers to resolve the problems of industry, is one of the instances of using their capacities to resolve a part of society issues. Due to the importance of academic entrepreneurship, different approaches and theories have investigated this concept from different perspectives including analyzing the personality and behavior of academic entrepreneurs in the process of solving the problems of industry. In other words, in previous studies, researchers have tried to come to a better understanding of how academics act in trying to solve problems by examining the personality of academic entrepreneurs and their decision-making. Despite the extensive efforts of researchers, due to the complexity of analyzing the behavior of entrepreneurs and the existence of many effective and intertwined factors, this area is still interesting for research. Especially Since the dominant view regarding human in these theories is based on the definition of Western thinkers and the lack of using Islamic teachings and anthropology lay the groundwork for new theories.
Considering the theoretical gaps in the research literature as well as understanding the importance of scientific and technological academic talents in resolving society problems, the present study tries to better explain how and the reality of academic entrepreneurs' actions using the framework of Sadra's philosophy. This paper examines 62 prominent university researchers, who are all members of the country's talents society and tries to explore how they act in solving industrial problems. The exploratory nature of the study allows the researcher to use qualitative and deductive thematic analysis method and validating indicators suitable for research such as transferability, Consistency / Dependability, and confirmability.
The research findings show that Sadra's philosophy framework has more potential to explain how and the reality of academic entrepreneurs' decision-making and behavior compared to other competing theories that have been described in the literature. This philosophical framework, which has been developed according to the research questions, with a comprehensive look at the dimensions of human personality analyzes the components of "cognitive style", "belief in oneself", "belief in God", "belief in the world", "belief in society", "entrepreneurial qualities and characteristics" and "decision making" with regard to academic entrepreneurs and provides a much more complete explanation compared to previous researches.
Examining the identified factors with respect to the above-mentioned components indicates that the philosophical framework for the current research while including the findings of previous researchers identifies certain new effective personality factors in the actions of academic entrepreneurs.
In the final section of the paper, some policy implications have been presented to reform the university policies, with the aim of more effectively using prominent scientific and technological academics in solving industrial problems.
