In the field of medical research, Cancer disease, and anticancer drugs are current topics studied by most doctors and scientists. New methods and technologies have been presented to investigate and conduct research in the field of cancer in recent years. Cell studies that include in vitro and in vivo models are of interest to researchers and Manufacturers of various drugs, especially anti-cancer drugs, have been placed. With the advancement of medical science, the 3D cell culture process has replaced the 2D cell culture In the fields of tissue engineering, Toxicity tests and the effectiveness of drugs are used. Microfluidic science was a new science that, along with the 3D cell culture process, It has greatly contributed to the progress of cell study and the laboratory process of its cultivation. In this research, using microfluidic technology, A cross-concentrated hybrid flow microchip is designed and fabricated. In order to carry out the laboratory process, first, 3 paraffin oils, olive, and Mineral dissolved with 1% of Spen 80 and It has been used as a continuous phase for drop production tests. Deionized water has also been used as a discrete phase. The effects of continuous phase flow rate changes, flow rates, and Capillarity number for 3 oils on droplet size, frequency of droplet formation, and distance between drops were investigated and reported.
In the next step, the gelation process of the drops is done, and finally, the three-dimensional cultivation of cells and the process of producing cell spheroids have been done.
