Various parameters are involved in the design of schools Among them, we can mention the location, form, plan, school renovation rules, etc. In this research, we only investigate the role of form on direct radiation and annual daylight of a school. Daylight and direct sunlight in schools are important decision-making elements in architectural design to create visual comfort, mental health and growth of students. Also, considering the mentioned influential factors and saving in cooling, heating and lighting energy consumption will reduce electricity costs. In this research, firstly, by using library tools, the definitions and basic concepts of form finding and daylighting, the influencing factors have been extracted. Next, using Grasshopper software, an algorithm was designed to be used in Rhino software to generate the form. The result of this process was to achieve a range of designs with different forms. Then, by identifying and removing the intervening modular cubes, the produced sample was simulated in Honeybee software. Finally, by examining the form and influencing parameters and analyzing them, results were obtained that will be used as recommendations for the design process.
