Abstract The modernization of the world and its impacts on human life have become an inevitable phenomenon. These changes encompass everything from the natural environment to individual and social dimensions of life. The expansion of industrial products, the use of electronic lifestyle amenities, and more have created numerous opportunities but also brought about challenges. In response to this dilemma, the United Nations engages in extensive activities across various domains. Architects, in facing these global issues, have adopted a new perspective called "sustainable architecture" to align with nature and preserve its resources for future generations within the framework of social and economic development. The objective of this research is to identify the influential components of social sustainability through an extensive literature review and background investigation. Initially, information was gathered on the topic through library tools, including published books, articles, theses, research reports, and in various fields. Using a systematic review process, 94 sources related to social sustainability in domestic and foreign research were identified in several stages. Then, to organize the obtained information, the components in each of the sources were coded using content analysis. Tables were created, based on which five components, in order of importance, were identified as follows: 1)Social Security 2)Social Participation 3) Social Interactions 4)Social Justice 5) Social Cohesion In the next step, a structure was proposed to categorize the extracted components, which includes five general categories named "Environmental," "Social," "Use Attractiveness," "Physical Attractiveness," and "Political." In the following stage, the existing Iranian and foreign residential examples were analyzed, followed by an analysis of the existing residential species in Geneva. In the next phase, in order to validate the extracted components, a questionnaire was presented to experts and specialists in the field of architecture, as well as political experts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In this step, primary data were collected and analyzed. Finally, after collecting and analyzing the data, the research was summarized and conclusions were drawn. Among the 17 influential components in social sustainability, the priority of influential components and the order of importance of the proposed categories for the final structure were determined. Furthermore, based on the findings, a proposed plan was presented. Keywords: Social Sustainability, Indigenous Architecture, Diplomatic Architecture, Residential Architecture
