With the growing electric vehicle market around the world, the positive effects of moving towards electric vehicles in terms of reducing pollutants and greenhouse gases and preserving the environment are increasing. Many reputable automobiles manufacture, along with new start-ups, introduce different models of electric cars in different classes. In any car, the most important active system that has the main task of controlling the movement is the power transmission system. Because it includes car performance indicators such as acceleration, maximum speed and gradeability. In this thesis, a suitable gearbox is designed for a quadricycle of L6e category. Based on the research, this class of car is limited in speed, power, weight and dimensions in accordance with the international standard, for this reason, a 5-kW electric motor and a single-speed gearbox were used in the design to provide power and the required gear ratio. Also, different layouts of the power transmission system of the electric vehicle are presented, the use of the carryover method of parts is the priority for choosing the layout, and one of the main goals is to use parts that can be manufactured and produced in Iran and are affordable. For this purpose, a process such as benchmarking, conceptual design, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and determination of technical specifications for system design has been completed, then according to the results of vehicle longitudinal dynamics calculations, the components of the gearbox have been designed and assembled in Solid work software. Finally, the performance car (acceleration, gradeability and maximum speed) were analyzed and analyzed by simulation in Advisor software.
