Developing villages and improving the quality of life of their residents requires new approaches and solutions in the field of water supply and increasing social welfare. In recent decades, the design of hand-carrying water products has become more important in order to meet the needs of irrigation and use of water resources in the villages of Iran. This article eva‎luates the effectiveness of the design of hand-carrying water products with an emphasis on improving the living conditions of villagers. In this research, quantitative and qualitative research methods have been used. First, by reviewing the subject literature and examining the designs and products available in the field of manual water transportation, the goals of this research have been defined. Then, by conducting field studies and asking rural users, the effectiveness of current products and their strengths and weaknesses have been carefully examined. The findings of this research show that the design of hand-carried water products according to the needs and environmental conditions of villages can directly affect the improvement of users' well-being. According to the results of this research, it is suggested that the designers and manufacturers of hand-carrying water products in Iran should modify and optimize the design of their products in order to create a continuous improvement in the living conditions of Iranian rural users.
