توسعه ي بي رويه شهرها در سال هاي اخير موجب عدم توجه به محيط هاي انساني و طراحي براي جوامع انساني شده است. از پيامد هاي منفي اجتماعي آن مي توان به عدم عدالت اجتماعي، هويت و.... اشاره كرد. بعد اجتماعي پايداري رويكردي است كه در دهه ي 1990و 2000 به منظور رفع اين مشكلات پديد آمده مطرح گرديد است. در اين خصوص به منظور دستيابي به پايداري و بالاخص پايداري اجتماعي در شهر مي بايست از كوچكترين واحد سازنده ي شهر يعني محله و به طور ويژه مركز محله اي كه در ارتباط با بازار اصلي شهر است اقدام كرد، تا به مراتب نيز به شهري پايدار رسيد. در اين رساله سعي شده تا در ابتدا به بررسي مفهوم پايداري اجتماعي در مركز محله (ميدان محلي) به عنوان يكي از فضاهاي عمومي در شهر پرداخته شود و سپس به استخراج شاخص هايي جهت احصا پايداري اجتماعي در مجموعه ي تاريخي خان و بازار هاي اطراف پرداخته شده است. مباني نظري مستخرج شده در اين پژوهش شامل: تعاريفي از قبيل توسعه و توسعه ي پايدار كه از زير مجموعه هاي توسعه است و شاخص هاي آن، پايداري اجتماعي و شاخص هاي آن از ديد نظريه پردازان، پايداري اجتماعي در طراحي شهري و محله هاي شهري، بازار و رابطه ي آن با پايداري مي باشد. پس از بررسي شاخص هاي پايداري در مجموعه خان و مصاحبه ي انجام شده با: ساكنان، رهگذراني كه قصد بازديد از مجموعه را داشته، دانشجويان و اساتيد متخصص در اين حوزه به اصول و مباني لازم در راستاي ارائه ي آلترناتيو هاي گوناگون و راهكار هايي جهت ايجاد تغييراتي براي بازگرداندن پايداري به فضاي ميدان خان و مجموعه ي اطراف تدوين شده است. هدف از اين پژوهش ارتقا كيفيت هاي پايداري در مجموعه خان است كه خود به تنهايي برحيات مجدد بافت تاريخي يزد اثر گذاشته و عامل مهمي در رشد و توسعه بازار يزد نيز به شمار مي آيد.

Among its negative social consequences, we can mention the lack of social justice, identity, etc. The social dimension of sustainability is an approach that was proposed in the 1990s and 2000s in order to solve these problems. In this regard, in order to achieve sustainability and especially social sustainability in the city, it is necessary to act from the smallest building unit of the city, namely the neighborhood, and especially the center of the neighborhood, which is connected to the main market of the city, in order to reach a sustainable city. . In this thesis, an attempt has been made to first examine the concept of social sustainability in the center of the neighborhood (local square) as one of the public spaces in the city, and then to extract indicators for the calculation of social sustainability in the historical complex of Khan and the surrounding Bazar has been The theoretical foundations extracted in this research include: definitions such as development and sustainable development which is a subset of development and its indicators, social sustainability and its indicators from the perspective of theorists, social sustainability in urban design and urban neighborhoods, Bazar and its relationship with sustainability. After examining the sustainability indicators in the Khan Complex and interviewing residents, passers-by who intended to visit the complex, students and professors who are experts in this field, the necessary principles and foundations in order to provide various alternatives and solutions for Changes have been made to restore stability to Khan Square and the surrounding area. The purpose of this research is to promote the quality of sustainability in the Khan Bazar, which alone has an effect on the revival of the historical context of Yazd and is also considered an important factor in the growth and development of the Yazd Bazar.
