Health is one of the most basic rights of any society, and the importance and necessity of this issue is not hidden from anyone, and without any doubt, health should be considered an important part of human capital.
On the other hand, hospitals play a fundamental role in society as institutions that make human survival and continuity of life possible, and with the progress and development of science and technology, as well as the change in the way of life and the growth of medical science, today it has appeared in the society in its new form and in fact The progress and change of the hospital is the result of the continuous growth and development of medical technology.
For reasons such as the occurrence of natural disasters, such as floods and earthquakes, and the location of our country in a strategically sensitive area, and with the bitter experience of the imposed war, the longest war of the 20th century, the need for flexible mobile hospitals is strongly felt in the country. According to the statistics and information of the World Bank, during the years 2010 to 2012, our country was lower than the world average in terms of availability of hospital beds, and every 10 to 20 years a devastating earthquake occurs in our country. Also, Iran ranks third in the world in terms of natural disasters, and 7-12% of the GDP is spent annually to compensate for losses caused by natural disasters. Because in Iran, especially in Tehran, the increase in population is not coordinated with the distribution of urban facilities, and this increases the vulnerability of the society. It is also worth mentioning that recently, due to the growth of epidemic diseases such as Corona, the world has been facing the challenge of lack of treatment spaces.
In such situations, local hospitals are usually damaged and their use becomes limited or impossible, or sometimes medical centers remain healthy, but due to the lack of capacity, they are unable to respond to all the injured. The field hospital is established quickly in crisis situations without the need for additional facilities. Currently, field hospitals have been established in 22 provinces of the country. Therefore, the topic of examining solutions such as quick deployment, low cost, portability and relocation in the design of field hospitals was chosen.
In response to this crisis, two approaches can be adopted, long-term and short-term approaches. Considering Iran's unfavorable conditions, it is possible to think about short-term strategies in addition to the long-term strategy and plan for it.
