Following the increasing and significant growth of the demand in moving goods, it has attracted the opinion of many experts and managers regarding the improvement of the better process and increasing the efficiency of this industry. Meanwhile, supply chain management, logistics and logistics management in the distribution system in various fields are progressing day by day and reduce some exorbitant costs in the goods movement industry. The maritime transport industry plays a major role in the movement of goods in the export, import, transit and other exchange procedures of each country. This branch of transportation is expanding day by day due to the low cost of transportation. In the meantime, ports, as a maritime origin and a connecting point between maritime transport and land transport, play a decisive role in the quantitative and qualitative situation of maritime transport. In the field of goods transportation, despite the relative advantages of rail transportation compared to road transportation, the contribution of this method to the movement of goods is very small. Following the general policies of sea-oriented development and in line with the seventh development plan and also in accordance with the sea-oriented development, in line with the eighth paragraph of the general policies of sea-oriented development under the title of increasing the share of the country in maritime transport and transit by creating and strengthening the combined transport network and also the need to increase the share of railway ports In transportation and the elasticity of goods transportation, in order to realize this importance, this research, first of all, in order to identify the indicators and parameters that influence the selection of means of transportation of goods in basic rail ports, and also with the aim of increasing the share of rail in the group. Commodities in export, import and transit sectors in ports have been written. In this thesis, first of all, the identification and investigation of the effective indicators of vehicle selection in the transportation of goods has been done using previous studies and also the opinions of experts in this field. Then, having these indicators and also the data received from the effective features in the transportation of goods in the ports connected to the rail, according to the groups of goods from the railway company, road and road transport organization. Especially, the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization has compared the most accurate of them using machine learning algorithms. Further, in order to improve and increase the share of rail in the movement of goods, extracting important features by considering the increase of the share of rail has achieved the desired results.
