In today's fast-paced world dominated by technology and virtual spaces, the need for social interaction and connection with nature has become increasingly evident. Schools, as institutions responsible for shaping future generations, play a pivotal role in fulfilling these needs. School gardens, by integrating education, nature, and social interaction, provide a nurturing environment for students' holistic development. These spaces not only help students connect with the environment but also offer valuable opportunities to learn social and life skills. Therefore, the development of school gardens in our schools and vocational institutions is a significant step towards cultivating a responsible and creative generation. In the contemporary era, education extends beyond the confines of the classroom. School gardens, by combining education, the environment, and social interaction, offer an innovative educational model that meets the needs of future generations. These spaces enable students to develop life skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork in a dynamic natural setting. The establishment of school gardens in schools and vocational institutions is a crucial step towards achieving sustainable development goals and fostering a generation of creative and innovative individuals. By employing a combination of literature review, case studies, and qualitative data analysis, this research aims to provide a comprehensive framework for the design and implementation of successful school gardens in our country. This research, relying on extensive library studies, thorough examination of online resources, and in-depth analysis of successful domestic and international examples, seeks to identify the best practices in school gardens and offer solutions for their sustainable development. Additionally, this research aims to identify innovative school garden models and adapt them to the evolving educational needs. Research findings indicate that, in addition to serving as platforms for producing healthy food and teaching sustainable lifestyles, school gardens can also be effective tools for promoting sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, and community health. School gardens can be considered as models for the development of sustainable communities and fostering a deeper connection between humans and nature. Results show that school gardens provide a stimulating and dynamic learning environment. By integrating academic learning with practical activities in nature, they contribute to improved learning, strengthened social skills, enhanced creativity, improved physical and mental health, and the development of a sense of responsibility in students. Furthermore, school gardens can serve as a suitable platform for teaching sustainable concepts and promoting healthy lifestyles.
