In this research, in order to investigate the process of fault diagnosis an‎d monitoring the condition of the gearbox, systems for this purpose are first designed an‎d built. The frequency obtained from healthy an‎d defective gears is received by appropriate probes an‎d stored in the computer for processing. Audio signals are compared in both time an‎d frequency spectrums after processing by software. By comparing the frequency spectrum, it can be seen that the defects investigated in this research, which include gear breakage an‎d wear, can be identified according to the engagement frequency of the gear an‎d its harmonics, as well as the side ban‎ds. Therefore, by checking the frequency spectrum of the audio signal from the gear wheel, it is possible to monitor the condition of the gearboxes.
