چكيده
Abstract
Laser beam propagation through turbulent atmosphere has been studied
extensively for many years because of its importance in low-power beam
transmission in to the atmosphere .When a low-power laser beam
propagates through the atmosphere , it has been affected by several
phenomena named " absorption " , " scattering " , " turbulent effects ", ...
which " turbulent effects " are considered extremely because of their
extensive usage in recent technologies such as optical telecommunication.
In this thesis , we evaluate the propagation of a Gaussian laser beam in
turbulent atmosphere numerically . Various types of turbulent conditions
are considered as different values of " turbulent parameter ( n C ) " . The
"quality factor" of the beam has studied under different atmospheric
conditions as an important factor in recent optical technologies like Free
Space Optics (FSO) . We have also consider different values of beam
diameter and wavelength to optimize the quality factor of the beam .
The results show that the beam quality can be affected dramatically by
atmospheric turbulence and would decrees with the increase of turbulent
effects.
