چكيده
Abstract
In this thesis passive circuits and filters in parallel and series
configuration has been investigated. Analysis and simulations has been
done in order to improve power quality characteristics of power supply and
consumer with the presence of non-linear industrial loads. The concept and
characteristics of electrical power quality such as Total Harmonic Distortion
(THD), three-phase Unbalance and Power Factor (PF) has been studied and
evaluated. The orthogonal decomposition of power and current in threephase
system at non-sinusoidal condition has been studied. Then the
conventional harmonic filters and their formulations has been evaluated and
design methods for those filters presented. One of the purposes of this thesis
was cost based design of harmonic filters. In order to solve this problem
with its constraints, the genetic algorithm named CBGA has been used.
In order to reduce load voltage and supply current unbalance in
asymmetrical three-phase system a compensation method by using passive
BaCo circuits has been analyzed and simulated. In addition in order to
improve performance of these compensators with presence of zero-sequence
current, a corrective technique has been investigated. Also by using
harmonic filters instead of BaCo circuits in order to simultaneously improve
THD, voltage Unbalance and Power Factor has been presented. The
modeling and simulation of Electromagnetic Filter for elimination of zerosequence
harmonics beside production and compensation of one phase
outage in three-phase power supply has been implemented. Finally, by
implementing and recording of experiment results, the performance of
electromagnetic filter has been compared with simulation results.
